Channel Letters
The strip-center standard, and what most landlord sign criteria expect.
Channel Letters detailsYour storefront gets one look from across the parking lot. We build retail signs that read at that distance, pass landlord review, and go up on schedule.
In a strip center on Street Road or Cottman Avenue, the anchors get the road frontage and the biggest pylon panels. Everyone else earns attention letter by letter. Properly sized channel letters are the standard answer: individually lit, sized to your storefront bay, and readable across a full parking field. Where the budget or the building calls for something simpler, a light box cabinet with a printed face does the same job with fewer parts.
On walkable shopping blocks like Old City, South Street, or Germantown Avenue in Chestnut Hill, the math flips. Foot traffic reads the street sideways, so a projecting sign or a lettered awning earns more looks than a big flat panel ever will.
And light matters as much as size. A dark sign at 7pm tells passing traffic you are closed even when you are not. We build with LED illumination and service it, so the sign works the whole time the store does.
Four formats cover most storefronts, from mall bays to corner shops.

Projecting Signs details
Most malls and strip centers hand new tenants a sign criteria document: maximum letter height, approved illumination, raceway rules, sometimes an approved color list. We read it before we design, so the drawing set that goes to your property manager is one they can sign off without a redline round.
After landlord approval comes the permit. Philadelphia storefronts go through L&I; suburban centers go through the township. Our surveys and permitting crew prepares and files either way, and in most cases your sign is in fabrication while the paperwork is still moving.
Then keep the windows working. Retail runs on the calendar: back to school, holiday, clearance. Seasonal window graphics come out of our own print shop and get installed clean, then stripped and swapped when the season turns. You book the date; we show up before the store opens.
Yes. Send it with your quote request. We design to the letter height, illumination, and mounting rules in the criteria and submit a drawing package your property manager can approve without a redesign round.
We do. Philadelphia storefronts are permitted through the city, and suburban centers go through the local township. We prepare the drawings, file, and track approval either way.
Yes. We print in-house and install on your calendar, typically before opening hours, then remove and replace graphics as each campaign ends.
Send a photo of the space and your sign criteria if you have it. We will quote the whole package.
