About VH Sign & Lighting

A Philadelphia sign shop that designs, builds, and installs its own work. One building on Woodhaven Road. One crew on your project.

Who we are

A Sign Company That Keeps the Work In-House

VH Sign & Lighting Services is a full-service commercial sign company at 1890 Woodhaven Road in Northeast Philadelphia. We design signs, build them in our own shop, and install them with our own crews and our own cranes. Every step of that sentence happens inside this company.

Sign projects usually go sideways in the handoffs. A design firm draws letters the fabricator has to rework. The fabricator ships a cabinet the installer cannot mount on that wall. The install sub arrives before the permit clears, and the whole job waits. Every handoff adds time and a markup. So we removed them. The person who measures your storefront works a few steps from the press brake, and the crew that hangs the finished sign pulls out of our own yard.

That structure is the whole pitch. One number to call. One schedule. One company responsible from the first site measure to the day your sign lights up, and for the service calls years later. Business owners across Philadelphia, Bucks County, Montgomery County, and South Jersey use us for new storefronts, rebrands, LED retrofits, and repairs. Start with the full list of sign services we handle in-house, or judge the work yourself in our portfolio of finished installs.

1890 Woodhaven Road

Design, fabrication, and dispatch run under one roof at the Somerton end of Northeast Philadelphia, just off Roosevelt Boulevard and minutes from the Bucks County line. On the floor we cut and bend aluminum, rout faces, wire LED modules, and paint. Every illuminated sign gets powered up and burned in before it goes on the truck. If a letter is going to flicker, we want it flickering in our shop, not over your door.

The yard outside holds our crane and bucket trucks. Owning the iron matters. When your install date comes, we are not waiting on a rental calendar or a sub's route sheet. The same trucks that run our crane service handle repair calls across the region, so scheduling stays in our hands, and yours.

How we work

Five Rules We Run Every Job By

Service philosophy is a big phrase for a short list. This is how a project moves through our shop.

  • Measure before we draw. Quotes start with a real site survey: field measurements, a power check, and facade photos of the wall your sign is going on.
  • Permits before fabrication. In most cases we file with Philadelphia L&I or your township before we build, so you are not paying for a sign the city will not approve. Our surveys and permitting work covers the paperwork end to end.
  • Build it once. Letters and cabinets are wired and test-lit on our floor. Install day is mounting and connection, not troubleshooting.
  • Leave the site clean. Wires hidden, wall penetrations sealed, lift off your lot, packaging gone.
  • Answer the phone afterward. A sign is a long-term purchase. When a letter goes dark or a storm bends a cabinet, repair and maintenance runs out of the same shop that built it.

The People You Will Actually Deal With

No call center, no sales layer. The person who quotes your sign can walk onto the floor and check on it. When you call the office, you reach someone who can pull your file and tell you where the job stands.
